Did you know.....that there are discounts available for disabled adults and children with special needs?
With the high cost of living with a disability - It's a great way to save money!
Discounts for the disabled are provided by Government, tourist attractions and organisations both locally and nationally.
Reductions can be for the disabled person or their carer. And sometimes....Both!
Many don't advertise their discounts. So, don't be afraid to ask!
Someone using a wheelchair may not have to prove their disability. But others with less obvious disabilities may have to provide some form of evidence.
This may include:
- A copy of your award letter for the Disability Living Allowance or Attendance Allowance
- A copy of your Blue Badge
- A copy of BD8 certificate for being registered blind or partially-sighted.
- Your NHS battery book for the hearing impaired.
I thought it would be a great idea to collect all the information together in one place.
