Bristol Zoo is 176 years old and contains a number of old buildings and structures – three of which are Grade II listed. However, most of the Zoo is accessible for wheelchair users and those with walking difficulties.
The majority of the paths are tarmac and thee is level or ramped access to most buildings.
There are moderately steep ramps when you exit the Reptile House, and on the entrance and exit of the Aquarium and Bug World.
Twilight World has very low levels of light and some noticeable changes in the level and texture on the floor.
There are three disabled parking bays near the Zoo entrance.
In addition to 14 dedicated on-street parking spaces along College Road - about 40 m from the main entrance.
There are three manual wheelchairs and three mobility scooters available for free at the Zoo entrance.
Mobility scooters cannot be hired by anyone under the age of 16 or over 18 stone.
